The Peace Agreement at the end of the 2. Great World War forbade the Soviet Union to possess both tanks "with a turret mounting two or more guns", and from possessing tank guns of a caliber larger than 105mm, the caliber of the guns on heavy tanks at the time. However, the Agreement did not explicitely put a limit to the number of guns on a tank, nor to the number of turrets with one gun. While the Soviet Union started a secret rearmament program well before Great World War 3, this rearmament was confined to the development of secret technologies, and did not extend to the regular production or development of weapons or vehicles explicitely breaking the Peace Agreement, because the regular construction of such vehicles would have to no doubt warned the Allies of the upcoming invasion. The double-barreled Apocalypse Tank, for example, was only developed and entered construction during the war, though the relevant technology had been establiched earlier in the form of the Mammoth Tank. Thus, before the Soviets started with the explicit breaks of the Peace Agreement in their regular armed forces, a variety of half-legal tank research was carried out in order to avoid limitations on firepower without actually breaking the agreement. Many of the results look like Landships or what we would compare to the Battlefortress used by the Allies in Yuri's Revenge. One notably succesful of these developments was the Kharkov Tank. In addition to being covered up as being compliant to the agreement in that it mounted no turret with more than one gun, it received an additional front by being developed and produced not in Russia itself, but in the Ukraine, in the industrial town of Kharkov - hence the name. The Kharkov Tank is a super-heavy tank that mounts indeed not a single double-barreled turret, but instead multiple turrets, each armed with a single gun ranging from 90 to 120mm in caliber. During the initial Soviet invasion of Europe, the tank was not ready for production and the invasion force only used some during the Battle of Berlin.

This, sadly, means that the player can almost never use this baby. But for the Nazi side, you will encounter a lot of them as enemy units. Perhaps I will still add some parts to the Soviet campaign, so the player may be able to comandeer the Kharkov against a subsequent Allied incursion into Europe (or a Soviet invasion of America) after the Fall of Germany.

Code-wise, this tank is going to use a Gattling code, cycling between 90mm and 120mm guns - using Gattling=yes, of course, forces it to have a turret. But the weapons it has will be OmniFire, and it will use DistributedFire.
